Excuse me while I get a little sentimental. Our bride from today’s post is a personal friend of mine. We met when she started her career as a work-study student in the HR department I work in. I watched as she quickly learned the ropes around the office and became a huge asset to me and the entire team. I watched her grow into a hardworking, capable and strong woman over the course of a few years. When COVID hit, the work-study program ended abruptly and we were all sad to see her go. A few months later, she reached out to me with news of her engagement and I was so thrilled that she asked us to be her photographers! Not only did we get to photograph her wedding, but we got to pull double duty as guests and celebrate her, too!

Brooke + Travis created a beautiful backyard wedding at a family friend’s home. Every detail was carefully thought out and there was so much love surrounding them that day. One of the most special moments for me – besides being one of the first to see my friend in her wedding dress – was seeing Travis swept up in deep emotion when he saw Brooke walk down the aisle. It was an incredibly special moment. The weather was absolutely perfect for an early October tent reception and Frank and I actually got a chance to bust a move on the dance floor. We also were able to share conversation and good food with some of my friends from work. It was such a wonderful day! Here are a few of our favorite images from Brooke + Travis’ wedding day.
