We loved celebrating with Melissa & Roy at Bretton Woods Recreation Center to kick off our 2017 wedding season last month! These two planned such a beautiful celebration that just happened to fall on one of the few days in April where it wasn’t freezing cold and rainy. Roy joked that when we are all together, we experience weather extremes. Their engagement session took place on the coldest and windiest day of March….and their wedding on the hottest day in April.

Melissa and Roy had the sweetest first look. Frank had told Roy to relax and take it all in, then when he’s ready, we’ll take them around for portraits. Roy’s face lit up when he turned to see Melissa and then they shared a few moments smiling and laughing with each other, soaking up the emotion of the day.

Their ceremony was one of my favorite parts of the day. The pastor had Melissa and Roy turn to face their family and friends and then asked Roy’s family if they accepted Melissa as family, and vice versa. It was such a beautiful gesture and it warmed my heart to see how each family member nodded their heads in excitement in response to the pastor’s question.
