As my friend Katelyn put it, “It takes a village to raise a child and to grow a business”. I don’t know about the first part, but the second part is definitely true! Which is why I consider myself lucky to have found an amazing community of creative small business entrepreneurs in the area who believe in community over competition. In that spirit, I was thrilled to have the privilege to spend some time with two fellow boss ladies a few weeks ago and take their headshots.

I met Katelyn last winter at a Pursuit gathering. It didn’t take long for me to see the passion that she has for a holistic approach to healthy living. I loved listening to her talk about her own personal health and wellness journey and how she came to change her life with Juice Plus+. I’ve had the pleasure of attending her salad parties and health & happy hour events, each time learning more about how to live a healthier lifestyle. In fact, after attending one of her events this past winter I found myself doing laps around my kitchen as I excitedly explained to Frank all that I had learned and my plans for a healthier lifestyle starting right there! Julie / Jules Fit Club

I met Julie at one of Katelyn’s events earlier this year and we bonded over our day jobs in the human resources field. We were able to related to each other’s dream of making our passions our full time jobs one day. Fast forward a few short months and I was thrilled to see that Julie had taken the leap and started working toward her dream. Jules Fit Club was born and was instantly a success! Her knowledge of and passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle instantly drew followers to her business. Personally, I have enjoyed following along for health and wellness tips and that extra encouragement to continue down my own path of health and happiness!
